Toddler Games

I recently got this book out of the library and I've been attempting to play at least one game a day with Brennan.

One of the ideas in the book is to put some flour, rice or cornmeal in a casserole dish or cookie sheet to let the toddler play in. It was a hit. I pulled up one of our chairs to our island and he played in it for at least 45 minutes.

This was his face when I told him to say "cheese":

I wisened up after a few minutes and stripped him down to his diaper, he was covered in flour!!

We do this with Finn. He LOVES it. I scoop the flour into a baggie and save it for next time. He calls it his "snow". And is occupied for literally an hour or so. He does the same with popcorn kernels. We have some little dump trucks and he loves to play with those in there. And the kernels are easier to clean up :)

Great fun!! Those books are so price less. When you get brave to use finger paints (in the summer time) let him "paint" with some trains or cars. Finn LOVES that too!!

I just did this with Seth and Kane yesterday! So fun! With Seth I had him write letters before he could play with his flour. They ended it by licking as much of it up as they could. Silly boys. I love B's smile! Such a cutie!

That smile makes me giggle! :) think of all the fun you can have (minus cleaning up) being with a toddler!

Sounds like fun! I'm sure Noah would love it! I'll have to try it on days when Hannah's at school.

Our kids have loved playing with rice in their class at church...But thanks for the reminder, because I don't think they've done it with them in a long time, and I know they'd love it if I set it up at home! (Probably even the bigger kids would love it!)

And 45 minutes is AMAZING for a little one!

Annnnnd B is really adorable!
